It took almost 5 months for the Italians in Milano to custom make my new pride: a black De Rosa Corum.
When I became interested in road biking in 1980, I was 6, the professionals were riding predominantly De Rosa. Ever since I have dreamed to ride the bike that made champions like Eddy Merckx, Francesco Moser and Moreno Argentin.
With the Corum, I have gotten myself a modern and fantastic race bike. Ugo De Rosa is able to create a racing frame that is just a few grams more than standard carbon, but for that bit of extra weight I got a super strong and stiff bike that provides a buttery smooth ride. The bike is lively and responsive, good for climbing and sprinting. And on top of that the frame is super strong. My carbon frame cracked after 5000 km, for no reason. Now I have a frame that is durable and can be thrown in the back of a car or plane.
And admittedly so, it looks fantastic. No more oversized tubes and curved and sloping constructions.
Let’s ride!!!
I have to admit indeed, it looks amaaaaazing! Was it you that selected the colour range so damn well? It could almost serve as a piece of art in the home!
